What You'll Do
Technical leadership
- Own end-to-end technical delivery for an implementation or a major workstream within multi-cloud programs.
- Translate solution architecture into technical design: object model extensions, sharing and visibility design, automation strategy, integration patterns.
- Set and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and the automation strategy (Flow vs. Apex vs. Industries tooling) — and document the reasoning.
- Run design reviews and code reviews; act as final technical approver for your workstream.
- Lead, mentor, and technically manage a distributed team of [8-10] developers and admins across US and India, in an overlapping-hours model.
Hands-on build
- Build and guide FSC configuration: Person Accounts vs. Individual model, Financial Accounts, Financial Holdings, Financial Goals, Householding and Relationship Groups, Relationship Mapping, ARC, Action Plans, Interaction & Interaction Summaries, Record Alerts, Business Rules Engine, Discovery Framework, Compliant Data Sharing.
- Develop and review Apex, LWC, SOQL, Flow, and Salesforce Industries/OmniStudio components to production quality.
- Design and implement integrations — REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, Salesforce Connect/External Objects, middleware (MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica) — to core banking, Mortgage, Insurance, custodial, market data, document, and e-signature systems.
- Lead large-scale data migration and data quality workstreams; design for LDV (large data volume) with skinny indexes, selective queries, and archival strategy in mind.
- Design for scale and governance: governor limits, bulkification, async patterns, sharing recalculation, and org-wide performance.
Quality, security & DevOps
- Own the CI/CD pipeline and release process — Flosum, Copado, Gearset, SFDX, Git branching strategy, environment/sandbox strategy.
- Drive test strategy: Apex test coverage that means something, automated regression, SIT, performance testing, and hypercare readiness.
- Implement security and compliance controls — Shield Platform Encryption, Field Audit Trail, Event Monitoring, profiles/permission sets, compliant data sharing for regulated data.
- Manage technical debt deliberately, and say so out loud when a shortcut is being taken.
Client & practice
- Present technical designs and trade-offs to client architects, IT leadership, and security review boards.
- Provide estimates that hold up, and flag scope and risk before it becomes a problem.
- Support pre-sales — solutioning, technical POVs, demos, and estimation for new FSC pursuits.
- Contribute accelerators, reference implementations, and reusable components to the Cloud Peritus CoE.
What You Bring (Required)
- Minimum 14+ years of technology experience, with 10+ years hands-on Salesforce delivery.
- Deep, demonstrable Financial Services Cloud implementation experience — multiple full-lifecycle FSC programs where you owned the technical outcome.
- Expert-level Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, Flow, and the Salesforce platform's declarative‑vs‑programmatic decision surface.
- Strong Sales Cloud and Service Cloud technical depth.
- Proven integration delivery — API design, middleware, event‑driven patterns, error handling and retry design, and real‑world experience with financial services source systems.
- Experience leading and mentoring distributed onshore/offshore engineering teams.
- Solid grasp of Salesforce security, sharing architecture, and data governance in a regulated environment.
- Production‑grade CI/CD and release management experience.
- Consulting or client‑facing delivery background strongly preferred.
Nice to Have
- Certifications: Platform Developer II, Application Architect and/or System Architect, Integration Architect, Data Architect, Financial Services Cloud Accredited Professional, Sales/Service Cloud Consultant, JavaScript Developer I.
- Salesforce Industries / OmniStudio and Vlocity‑lineage tooling at depth.
- Data Cloud, Agentforce, Einstein, or Marketing Cloud integration experience.
- MuleSoft certification or equivalent enterprise integration credential.
- Experience with nCino, ICE Mortgage/Encompass, FIS, Fiserv, Jack Henry, Plaid, Envestnet/Yodlee, DocuSign, or comparable FS platforms.
- Flosum, Copado, or Gearset certification.
First 90 Days — What Good Looks Like
- Day 30: You own the technical design and implementation for your workstream and have identified the top three technical risks on the program.
- Day 60: Your team is shipping on a clean CI/CD pipeline, code reviews are consistent, and the client’s technical stakeholders come to you first.
- Day 90: A production release has gone out under your technical ownership, and you’ve raised at least one reusable asset into the CoE.
