This Senior Salesforce Developer role will lead hands-on delivery of an external-facing Salesforce Experience Cloud portal, with a heavy focus on Lightning Web Components and Flow. Success requires strong judgment in choosing out-of-the-box capabilities versus custom development, and the ability to independently drive solutions from design through release. You’ll be expected to communicate technical decisions clearly and influence the approach when a better solution exists.

Responsibilities:
  • Build and enhance an external-facing Experience Cloud portal using Lightning Web Components, aligning UI behavior, performance, and security with business needs.
  • Develop and optimize Salesforce Flows to implement business processes declaratively, including debugging, error handling, and maintainable design patterns.
  • Implement Apex (classes, triggers, async patterns) when platform configuration and Flow are insufficient, with an emphasis on testability and long-term supportability.
  • Evaluate out-of-the-box Salesforce capabilities versus custom solutions and recommend the most effective approach based on complexity, risk, scalability, and timeline.
  • Translate requirements into technical designs and working software, proactively identifying gaps, edge cases, and downstream impacts across the broader solution.
  • Drive technical execution with minimal supervision, managing your own work to deliver predictable progress and high-quality outcomes.
  • Communicate implementation options and tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and challenge proposed approaches tactfully when improvements are warranted.Troubleshoot issues across Experience Cloud, LWC, Flow, and Apex, and drive root-cause resolution through to verification and release.
Required Skills:
  • 6+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, including strong Experience Cloud delivery for external-facing portals and web applications.
  • Strong experience building Lightning Web Components, including component design, event handling, data access patterns, and performance considerations.
  • Strong hands‑on Salesforce Flow expertise, including building robust automations and maintaining scalable, understandable Flow implementations.
  • Working Apex development capability to deliver functionality not achievable declaratively, including unit testing and deployment readiness.
  • Proven ability to assess Salesforce out‑of‑the‑box features versus custom development and recommend solutions that balance speed, maintainability, and platform alignment.
  • Clear, concise communication skills with the ability to explain technical decisions, document approaches, and work effectively with limited supervision.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience building Experience Cloud sites using Lightning Web Runtime (LWR).
  • Background delivering greenfield Salesforce implementations, including early‑stage architecture and initial build‑out decisions.
  • Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud (case management patterns, agent experience, and related automation).
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and associated integration or data synchronization patterns.
  • Salesforce API and integration experience, especially integrating Salesforce with .NET applications.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with SharePoint and/or Microsoft Teams.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools for work tracking, CI/CD, and release management.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I (PD1), Platform Developer II (PD2), and/or Data Architect.
