Job summary

Cloud for Good is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to act as the technical lead on the Salesforce implementation team. You will evaluate, design, and build key components on the Salesforce Platform for State and Local Government clients, leveraging Sales/Service Clouds and Public Sector solutions.

The role requires Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning coding, with potential OmniStudio development. The position is remote, based in the USA, and requires citizen or permanent resident status with

Qualifications

  • Applied knowledge of Salesforce Sales, Services, and Marketing functions; Public Sector experience required; Nonprofit/financial/education experience a plus
  • Minimum of two year's experience with OmniStudio (FlexCards, OmniScripts, Data Mappers, Integration Procedures, LWC/Omnistudio integration)
  • Experience with databases including SOQL/SQL/Oracle
  • Git, Webstorm IDE, VS Code, and/or SalesforceDX CLI experience
  • Ability to develop practical, reusable code-based solutions for Salesforce implementations
  • Familiarity with bulkified, scalable code on a multi-tenant platform
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Understanding of agile methodology and experience in agile teams
  • Experience building complex, scalable software delivered to customers
  • Experience coordinating with global team members across time zones
  • Ability to collaborate with SFDC developers and declarative configuration experts
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication
  • Experience creating Pull Requests using deployment tools (Gearset/Copado)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Salesforce implementation teams as technical lead consultant
  • Evaluate, design, and implement solutions for public sector, nonprofit, financial, and higher education clients
  • Write comprehensive test coverage for classes, triggers, and components
  • Deliver quality results on multiple client projects simultaneously
  • Collaborate with project manager and delivery team to meet requirements
  • Deliver projects within scope and budget
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings
  • Be a thought leader within the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Report on project status and risks to leadership
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure CFG standards

Job description

The Senior Salesforce Developer will be a lead technical resource on the Salesforce implementation team. They will be responsible for evaluating, designing, and building key technical components on the Salesforce Platform for Cloud for Good’s State and Local Government clients. Successful candidates will have expert technical knowledge of Salesforce.com Sales and Service Clouds, as well as Salesforce Public Sector Solutions. The Senior Salesforce Developer will code using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning, and may build custom solutions using OmniStudio.

Virtual Home-based office in the USA

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Applied knowledge of Salesforce and the Sales, Services, and Marketing functions; Public Sector experience required; Nonprofit, financial, or higher education experience a plus

Main Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, design, and implement technical solutions for public sector, nonprofit, financial, and higher education clients
  • Write comprehensive test code coverage for all classes, triggers, and components delivered in a project
  • Deliver quality results for the client in a timely fashion and be able to handle projects with multiple clients at once
  • Work hand‑in‑hand with the project manager and delivery team to ensure all the requirements are met

Travel Requirements
  • All roles at Cloud for Good include a travel component. Business travel—both domestic and international—may be required based on project and client needs. The amount of travel will vary by role but is generally expected to be up to 20% annually. Travel is considered an essential part of this position and supports effective client engagement, collaboration, and company representation.
  • Cloud for Good is a fully remote company. Team members are expected to maintain a professional, distraction-free workspace that is camera-ready for video meetings. Collaboration takes place across Zoom, Office 365, Salesforce, and Slack during standard business hours (9:00 a.m. — 5:00 p.m. in your local time zone).
