New York Life in New York, NY is seeking a Salesforce Developer Engineer to design, develop, and optimize Salesforce applications within the Field Productivity value stream. You will work with senior developers and architects to deliver secure, scalable solutions that meet evolving business needs, including integrations with AWS and MuleSoft and building UI with React.js.

This role emphasizes collaboration, modern cloud technologies, AI-driven tools, and a hybrid work model (3 days on-site).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Salesforce Certifications: multiple listed including Platform App Builder, Administrator, Platform Developer I/II, JavaScript Developer I.

Responsibilities

• Develop and customize Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and declarative tools such as Flows and Process Builder.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle - including design, coding, testing, deployment, and post-release support.
• Collaborate with senior developers and solution architects to gather requirements, design scalable solutions, and ensure architectural alignment with business objectives.
• Design and support Salesforce integrations with other enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs, MuleSoft, and AWS services.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code for performance, maintainability, and security.
• Maintain technical documentation and participate in peer code reviews to uphold development best practices.
• Stay current on emerging Salesforce, AWS, and AI-driven technologies to continually enhance the platform ecosystem.
• Build dynamic, responsive interfaces using React.js and TypeScript, applying modern UI/UX design patterns and reusable components across Salesforce and standalone applications.
