Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior data platform architect to lead end-to-end Salesforce Marketing Cloud initiatives in Illinois. You will architect data models for SFMC and Data Cloud, and build a knowledge graph across partner, property, contact, and campaign data.

You will define ontology, identity resolution, and dedup logic, while designing data capture, storage, and distribution solutions. Expect leadership of complex projects and mentorship of engineers, with a strong emphasis on reliability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in CS or related field.
• 10+ years building and operating enterprise software platforms.
• Hands-on Salesforce Data Cloud or comparable MarTech experience.
• Leadership of complex technical projects end-to-end.
• Experience with SFTP, SOAP/REST, Data Extensions, CDP/Data Cloud.
• Data model design for CRM/marketing platforms.
• Big data pipelines: ETL/ELT, SQL, cloud warehouses.
• Strong SQL and programming in Python/Java/Scala.
• Experience with Spark, Airflow, dbt for processing.
• 5+ years programming in Python/Java/Scala.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of end-to-end Salesforce Marketing Cloud initiatives.
• Own data models for Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Data Cloud.
• Design a knowledge graph linking partner, property, contact and campaign data.
• Define ontology, relationships, identity resolution, and dedup logic.
• Build data capture, processing, storage and distribution solutions.
• Maintain batch and streaming pipelines for reliability and cost-efficiency.
• Expose data via APIs integrating internal platforms and marketing tools.
• Integrate AI/LLM capabilities into data workflows with guards.
