Job summary

NCDHHS ITD seeks a Senior Salesforce Developer to lead design, development, and secure, scalable Salesforce solutions for the Back@Home project. The role covers admin, custom development, external integrations, and cross-functional collaboration to align technical solutions with business goals.

The position requires extensive Salesforce experience, certifications, and a track record of delivering enterprise-grade integrations in a government context. On-site work at state premises is expected.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with Salesforce Administration and Development (Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, APIs).
• Strong understanding of Salesforce data modeling, security, workflows, and automation.
• Experience developing enterprise-grade integrations.
• Ability to design, document, and deliver complex technical solutions.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Salesforce Technical Architect/Application Architect certification.
• Salesforce Integration Architect certification.
• Salesforce Platform Developer II Certification.
• Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder Certification.
• MuleSoft I and II certifications.
• 7+ years of experience architecting and developing complex Salesforce solutions.
• Experience with object-oriented design patterns and languages such as Apex, Java, JavaScript, C#, and Ruby.
• Experience with data migration strategies and ETL tools.
• Experience with Salesforce Shield and Lightning.
• Experience with Salesforce DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with accessibility laws and WCAG 2.1 compliance.
• Experience with GitHub or BitBucket version control solutions.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of Salesforce and integration solutions.
• Provide daily administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of Salesforce applications.
• Develop, test, and deploy custom Salesforce components including Apex classes, triggers, Visualforce pages, Lightning components, and flows.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions using Salesforce tools.
• Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems via APIs and middleware.
• Manage environments, deployments, user roles, permissions, security policies, and large data loads.
• Diagnose system issues, perform root-cause analysis, and optimize system performance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, QA teams, technical leads, and project managers to deliver enhancements and support strategic initiatives.
