We are looking for an ace with numbers and passion for reporting to join our growing sales organization. Our Sales Operations Analyst will work closely with our sales leadership team to translate data into meaningful insights to help us grow and scale our organization. You will play a key role in helping the sales leadership team maximize their sales and attainment goals through analytics, reporting, and metric tracking to provide impactful insights to the business. Our Sales Operations Analyst will be a co-pilot to the leadership team in forecasting, territory planning & market analysis and play a key role in all business review cadence. The ideal candidate is an initiative-taking, results focused professional with strong critical thinking skills and strategic mind set. Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales operations, consulting, or other analytical roles, with a strong focus on the ability to work across processes, business systems, and data. A successful candidate must be detail-oriented to manage the critical tools and processes supporting the organization and overall business operations. The candidate must also apply an analytical approach when reviewing data yet be able to communicate insights across personas that result in action. Finally, the candidate must be a power user of Salesforce and Excel.
Responsibilities:
· Create reports, dashboards and analytics to help track key performance indicators, integrated across Finance, Sales, and Marketing and customer success, to ensure that business processes and systems are generating accurate data
· Initiate continuous improvement in compensation plan models to align with business objectives
· Build and enhance relationships with key internal/external partners to understand where we can improve our data analytics, spanning across all sales stages of book to bill
· Perform ongoing and ad hoc analysis across all functions of the business to inform insights, make well informed strategic recommendations to drive improved business performance
· Define and document our business processes that enable efficiency with a keen eye toward continuous improvement and standardization
· Support day-to-day inquiries from the sales team, providing prompt and efficient resolution to a wide range of issues
· Analyze issues and weakness in the GTM and operations process, therefore, can make a recommendation to improve the processes to drive productivity and efficiency
· Drive process optimization and automation initiatives to improve the efficiency, velocity, and quality of the opportunity sales stages
· Excellent written and oral communication skills including an ability to communicate with internal cross functional teams
The must-haves for this role are:
· Bachelor’s degree in business or related fields
· 5+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Business Systems, Consulting, or equivalent role
· Demonstrated ability to analyze data, obtain insights, and implement business improvements
· Experience with advanced Excel functions (VBA, Scripts, Marcos)
· High proficiency with Salesforce and understanding of CRM software (Salesforce Certifications preferred)
· Possess an inquisitive mind set to continuously challenge the status quo, be proactive
· Experienced modeling data driven territory and TAM/SAM designs to maximize market opportunity and align with company GTM strategies
· Experience designing, implementing, and administrating SaaS and Hardware compensation plans
· Has worked in or alongside a sales organization in a prior role and has a deep understanding of the fundamental concepts such as sales funnel, sales processes, and tooling
· Experience working with ERP systems data integrations (Oracle preferred)
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced and/or start-up environment
· Able to assert an elevated level of conviction and confidence when presenting business cases, supported by data driven proof points
· Eager to drive change management to accelerate initiatives and business results
