The Inn at Penn (https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/phlidhh-the-inn-at-penn/) is seeking a dynamic Senior Sales Manager to secure groups and conventions by building and establishing relationships with customers. Located on the University of Pennsylvania campus, across from The Wharton School, near Drexel University and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and just 11 minutes from City Hall.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of hotel sales experience and strong verbal and written communication skills. We are looking for someone capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing, and paying attention to detail.

Role Overview: The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for securing groups and conventions by building and establishing relationships with customers. Hilton seeks well-rounded, business-minded individuals. The sales environment is fast-paced and dynamic, offering a launching pad for career growth in hospitality.

What will I be doing?

  • Research, solicit, and generate new leads for group opportunities through database research and proactive sales efforts to maximize revenue.
  • Represent the hotel in developing market segments and new customer relationships while maintaining existing accounts.
  • Develop business strategies by analyzing hotel and market trends and implementing marketing initiatives to meet and exceed sales goals.

Position Statement: This role requires strong sales, communication, and networking skills, with a deep understanding of customer needs and a disciplined approach to securing revenue.

Responsibilities include:

  • Customer and Account Management: Engage with Hilton Worldwide Sales, Convention Bureau, and Intermediaries to retain and grow business.
  • Develop and execute plans for outside sales, industry trade shows, and customer events.
  • Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of business opportunities.
  • Represent the hotel in all customer interactions, including proposals and contracts.
  • Conduct site inspections tailored to customer needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of hotel sales experience.
  • Ability to travel on short notice and adapt to schedule changes.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
