Our environment is entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and collaborative, rooted in hard work, determination, and having fun while building something meaningful. We are deeply committed to equity, belonging, and creating opportunities for our people to succeed.

The Opportunity:

If you’re a high-energy sales professional who thrives on building relationships, creating opportunities, and closing deals, this is an opportunity to make a major impact in one of the most competitive and opportunity-rich markets in the country.

At DeWinter, opportunity isn’t just something we talk about; it’s built into the business. With one of the most aggressive compensation plans in the industry, your earning potential is directly tied to your performance. There’s no ceiling, only the opportunity to build your market, expand your network, and accelerate your career.

As a Manager, Technical Consulting, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our Bay Area technology practice, with a focus on contract and contract-to-hire placements across IT and technical functions. You’ll develop new client relationships and expand existing partnerships to support fast-moving hiring needs across Product Strategy & Design, Software & Platform Engineering, Business Applications, Cloud, DevSecOps & SRE, Data, AI, & Intelligence, Program Delivery & Execution.

This is an opportunity to join a high-performing, entrepreneurial team and play a key role in expanding our market share, strengthening our brand, and building long-term partnerships with some of the Bay Area’s most innovative companies, from venture-backed startups to established enterprise organizations.

You’ll work directly with hiring leaders including CIOs, CTOs, VP of Engineering, Directors of Infrastructure, Heads of Security, and Technical Hiring Managers across industries ranging from SaaS and AI to fintech, healthcare, and consumer technology.

What You’ll Do:
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across the Bay Area, building long-term client partnerships and expanding DeWinter’s footprint.
  • Lead a high volume of client meetings each month and drive consistent gross profit growth through strategic business development.
  • Prospect creatively and proactively through networking, LinkedIn, industry events, referrals, market intelligence, and trend analysis.
  • Target decision-makers including CTOs, CIOs, VP Engineering, Directors of IT, and technical leaders, understanding where and how to create opportunity.
  • Evaluate and prioritize high-value prospects by understanding hiring patterns, growth trajectory, funding activity, technical roadmaps, and workforce strategy.
  • Build and manage a healthy pipeline, owning your activity, strategy, and results while adjusting quickly to market opportunities.
  • Develop both short-term and long-term sales strategies, understanding the difference between enterprise/VMS-driven accounts versus middle-market and direct retail client development.
  • Partner closely with recruiting and delivery teams to ensure successful consultant placements, project launches, and long-term client satisfaction.
  • Represent the DeWinter brand with integrity, professionalism, and urgency in every client interaction.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed established KPIS and GM targets.
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of B2B sales, business development, or staffing experience, with a focus on contract and contract-to-hire staffing within technology or IT.
  • Strong understanding of the technology talent landscape and buyer personas across engineering, infrastructure, security, cloud, and IT operations.
  • Deep understanding of prospecting strategy, knowing how to hunt for new business, build market maps, identify hiring trends, and create opportunities beyond inherited accounts.
  • Knowledge of the difference between VMS/MSP and retail staffing models, and the ability to navigate both effectively.

  • An established Bay Area network, with strong local market knowledge and the ability to consistently generate new business.
  • Proven success in a fast-paced, metrics-driven staffing environment with a track record of opening new accounts and generating revenue.
