Job summary

The Vista Continuing Care Retirement Community in Wyckoff, NJ, is seeking a Senior Sales Counselor to grow occupancy by guiding qualified seniors through residency options and contract types. You will develop relationships with prospective residents, families, and professional referral partners, while working closely with leadership to meet sales objectives.

Qualifications

Direct experience in senior living sales or 3–5 years of transferable sales experience.
Knowledge of Life Care contracts preferred.
Ability to communicate information about services clearly.
Microsoft Office Suite experience and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

Represent The Vista positively to prospective residents.
Respond to leads from walk-ins, calls, and inquiries.
Schedule appointments and conduct one-on-one meetings.
Build relationships with prospective residents and depositors.
Manage touchpoints with families and depositors in CRM systems.
Assist with move-in processes and waitlist maintenance.
Collaborate with sales, dining and marketing on events.

With the expansion of The Vista, we are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a full-time Senior Sales Counselor to join our team at The Vista Continuing Care Retirement Community in Wyckoff, NJ. The Senior Sales Counselor will be a trusted advisor and play a key role in supporting the growth of our community by driving occupancy and building meaningful, lasting relationships with prospective residents, their families, and professional referral partners. In this role, you will be responsible for marketing and selling apartment residences to qualified seniors, guiding them through the residency process, and achieving established sales objectives. As the Senior Sales Counselor, you will handle high stakes independent living inventory and complex contracts while partnering closely with leadership to maintain a thriving waitlist.

The position reports to the Director of Sales & Community Relations, in collaboration with the Executive Director, and requires a commitment to delivering an exceptional experience that reflects the mission and values of Christian Health.

Represents The Vista positively and accurately to prospective residents.
Responds to leads such as walk-ins, phone calls, website inquiries and/or event attendees.
Gathers insight on prospects, shares information about the community and schedules appointments.
Meets with prospects for one-on-one appointments and uses a prospect centered sales approach.
Builds/maintains long-term relationships with prospective residents and depositors.
Manages required touch points with prospective residents/families and depositors through the Matrixcare and CRM database.
Maintains phone and personal contact including written communication such as personal notes, birthday cards or email.
Enters information into Matrixcare and CRM in a consistent and effective manner.
Generates sales. Assures completion of all necessary documents and forms. Routes paperwork accordingly and collect payments, as required. Completes and distributes required forms and reports.
Monitors and assists with the options/upgrade and move-in processes to maintain depositor satisfaction.
Participates in meetings, outside presentations and events.
Collaborates with sales, dining and marketing to help plan, execute and actively participate in on-site community events, educational seminars and professional networking events to generate leads and build referral partnerships.
Follows policies and procedures outlined by Christian Health administration.
Fosters a positive, productive work environment, and strives for good communications among all staff.
Fully understands and effectively communicates the following:

The Vista collateral materials, offering plan and residency agreement.
The Vista contract types: straight entry, FF Service or Lifecare.
Services, amenities and programs as outlined in residency agreement.
Floor Plans and other collateral material.
Complies with the following average monthly goals:
Complete 250 calls/month, 10 Voice-to-Voice per day.
15 Personal Appointments/month.
40.0 Letters and notes.
Conducts referral visits/ tours in a professional manner.

Qualifications:

Direct experience in senior living sales, or 3-5 years of sales experience in another industry with skills that transfer to senior living required.
Knowledge of/competent in providing information Life Care contracts preferred
Ability to speak intelligently about our services
Microsoft Office Suite experience required and data base entry.

Schedule: Full-time 9:00am-5:00pm. Monday - Friday or Tuesday - Saturday (alternating Saturdays required).

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred in sales, public relations, marketing, psychology or related field.
