Thank you for your interest in our Senior Sales Account Executive opportunity located in Seattle.

The Senior Sales Account Executive is responsible for maximizing revenues and market share in Delta’s coastal hub, Seattle, and the greater Seattle area, focusing on premium revenue with Delta’s key travel agency and/or corporate accounts. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: building, maintaining, and managing agency and/or corporate relationships, onboarding new corporate sales agreements, contract and/or program negotiation and implementation, project management, account performance evaluation, expanding points of sale globally, and maintaining agreements with key customer interfaces. This role also involves expanding partnerships with community organizations and leaders. The candidate must reside in the Seattle area and report to the Sales Manager. This position is primarily in-person from Monday to Friday.

The main objective is the successful performance of the portfolio, measured by revenue growth, market share, margin, and volume metrics.

Primary responsibilities include:

  1. Deepening customer relationship management and leading contract negotiations, developing strategic and tactical initiatives to drive market share and contract performance.
  2. Analyzing data to identify opportunities and develop customized strategies to drive revenue and performance.
  3. Coordinating team selling with internal departments such as Corporate and Agency Sales Development, Revenue Management, Sales Operations, Market Development, and Global Sales Support.
  4. Delivering sales value propositions alongside subject matter experts for ancillary offerings like charter sales, private jets, sustainability, online booking tools, and Cargo.
  5. Engaging in new business development and B2C market events and initiatives.
  6. Traveling domestically and internationally, including some nights and weekends.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  1. Experience managing a complex sales portfolio and new business development.
  2. Strong influencing, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
  3. Ability to analyze data and develop action plans to achieve revenue and performance goals.
  4. Commitment to diversity and equity, with the ability to work effectively with a global customer base and be culturally aware.
  5. Excellent public speaking skills for product and service presentations.
  6. Resilience in managing change, with drive and commitment.
  7. Skills in negotiation, time management, organization, planning, and being a self-starter.
  8. Availability for additional hours, including weekends and holidays.
  9. Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  10. Willingness to travel as needed.
  11. Ability to work effectively both remotely and in a team environment.
  12. Knowledge of the Rules of the Road.
  13. Current satisfactory performance in your current role.
  14. Knowledge of Delta’s technology platforms such as CDS/Prism, Tableau, GAIN, SFDC, and others.
  15. Possession of a valid passport and flexibility to travel internationally.
  16. Prioritization of safety and data security.
  17. Work from the Seattle office Monday through Friday unless otherwise needed.
  18. Embracing diversity and inclusive thinking.
  19. High school diploma or equivalent, and at least 18 years old with authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred qualifications include:

  1. Over 5 years of account management experience.
  2. Success in B2B2C sales, including co-brand credit card promotions.
  3. Experience selling international points of sale and JV partner collaboration.
  4. Mastery of Delta and JV partner products/services.

Pay Range: $68,100 - $183,700 annually.
