Job summary

Essential Utilities, Inc., operating as Aqua, is seeking an experienced safety/technical trainer to lead and develop training programs across our gas and utility operations in the United States.

The role requires at least eight years in safety/technical training, with hands-on knowledge of gas industry practices, SOPs, and performance metrics.

You will design compliant programs, support ROI determinations, and present findings to executives while mentoring supervisors and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of safety/technical training experience.
• Experience with gas industry/ operations practices.
• Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, presenting, and updating training strategies.
• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering preferred; demonstrated related experience may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Lead, consult with and/or assist supervisors with all technical training concerns and conditions.
• Conduct or review results of needs analysis, design training program, implement program and support ROI determination.
• Develop and perform all initial and compliance-related technical training for new and current employees.
• Lead, review and/or perform investigations and inspections to manage and improve the technical environment at PNG>
• Research applicability and viability of SOP’s and all technical related procedures and processes; recommend changes as needed.
• Research new or changing technical operation related tools, equipment and personal protection equipment (PPE).
• Analyze technical operations trends and recommend new practices, training and/or equipment to improve efficiency.
• Provide presentations to PNG executives, employees and customer; create visual displays as needed.
• Review and/or develop weekly employee communications addressing technical topics.
• Research and maintain awareness of industry trends in technical changes for use and implementation at PNG.
