Job summary

City of Westminster seeks a Safety Analyst to lead citywide safety programs, training, and loss-control initiatives. You will coordinate SafeStart efforts, drive DOT compliance, and analyze safety data to inform policy and practice.

The role partners with departments to deliver engaging safety training, improve incident reporting, and sustain proactive risk management across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the listed fields is required.
• Minimum of two years in safety or risk management.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficient with office software.
• Public organization or municipal government experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage citywide safety programs, reporting, and initiatives.
• Coordinate SafeStart training and online program with departments.
• Department of Transportation compliance/driver safety training oversight.
• Develop and review safety data, reports, and loss histories.
• Lead Safety Committee meetings; manage HASP and risk docs.
• Provide guidance to departments on safety practices and policies.
