Job summary

Attention Snohomish County PUD candidates: a Safety Specialist III is being recruited to support the District’s Accident Prevention Program. The role delivers training, conducts inspections, and helps develop safety initiatives while collaborating with staff and leadership to foster a robust safety culture.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a safety-related field, four years in safety training/inspection, and relevant certifications; multiple pathways are outlined.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Business Administration, or related field with four years in safety training, inspections, and/or program development.
• Or four years of customer service or project management plus four years in a safety role with training/inspection experience.
• Or eight years as a Journeyman Lineman/High Voltage Field with four years in a safety-related function.

Responsibilities

• Support development and maintenance of the District’s Accident Prevention Program.
• Deliver or assist with training, data collection, inspections, and safety program development.
• Collaborate with employees and managers to promote a strong safety culture.
• Lead projects and interact with regulatory agencies and the public on safety initiatives.
