Role Summary

The Senior Safety Specialist will coordinate and implement the field safety program for routine and complex construction projects. This position will be responsible for conducting safety inspections, identifying and documenting hazardous conditions, writing reports, and performing trend analysis. All activities will support JE Dunn's strategy, vision, and values.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core

• Coordinates and implements the field safety program for routine construction projects.
• Conducts regular site inspections to ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
• Performs safety audits, documents findings, and recommends abatement of hazards.
• Conducts new hire safety orientation and oversees drug and alcohol policy compliance.
• Monitors subcontractors' safety programs and participates in project meetings related to safety.
• Supports safety program implementation and chairs safety committees.
• Investigates accidents, determines root causes, and recommends process improvements.
• Coordinates injured employees' treatment and return to work.
• Monitors safety incentive programs.

Additional Responsibilities - Senior Safety Specialist

In addition to the core responsibilities, this role involves handling more complex safety hazards, providing advanced safety guidance, analyzing safety data for trends, developing training programs, and supporting safety audits and technology implementations.
