PC Construction Company is seeking a Senior Safety Specialist in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role is vital in implementing our "Safety Starts with Me" culture, working closely with Superintendents and Project Managers to maintain and enhance our EMR through compliance, enforcement, and collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have a B.S. in Occupational Safety or related field, with at least three years of safety and health experience in heavy civil/water construction. Proficiency in English is required, Spanish-speaking skills are a plus. Candidates should possess excellent organizational skills, computer proficiency, and preferred certifications like CHST or ASP.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the Project Safety Plan.
• Support daily pre-planning activities, including risk assessments and hazard analysis.
• Lead and promote a proactive safety culture, encouraging reporting and problem-solving.
• Conduct safety inspections, report deficiencies, and analyze data for improvements.
• Participate in regulatory inspections and investigations to ensure compliance.
• Develop and oversee safety training programs.
• Utilize logic and reasoning to evaluate solutions and monitor outcomes for continuous improvement.
