Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is seeking a Security Center Supervisor for the Hawaii Job Corps Center in Waimanalo, HI. You will oversee senior officers, guards, a safety officer and drivers, ensuring safety, fire protection and secure transportation for the center.

Required are a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and two years in a supervisory role, plus strong written and verbal communication and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred and two (2) years experience required, one of which must be in a supervisory capacity.
• Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and computer proficiency required.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise senior officers, security guards, safety officer and drivers.
• Manage center security including safety, fire protection, security, and transportation in compliance with directives.
• Perform security officer duties and supervise staff to protect life and property.
• Ensure the physical security of buildings, center vehicles, and property; check doors, windows, lights, and equipment.
• Provide fire protection; conduct frequent fire drills and inspections.
• Advise and train security officers in security procedures.
• Assist in transporting students and reporting/suppressing fires.
• Coordinate with center staff on security matters and investigations.
• Act as liaison with neighboring law enforcement and fire agencies.
• Ensure accountability of students, staff, and visitors through check-in/check-out procedures.
