Job summary

STV Incorporated seeks a Transportation Northeast Senior Safety Manager to lead safety programs for the Operating Group in the New York metro area. You will partner with project teams from design through site management to integrate health and safety into all work activities.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in safety or related field, CSP/CHST/CIH credentials, NYC DOB Site Safety Manager certification, and 8+ years in construction safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety or related field; professional credentials CSP/CHST/CIH and NYC DOB Site Safety Manager are required.
• 8+ years of safety and health experience in vertical construction or heavy industry environments.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
• Experience managing multiple projects and safety personnel; proficient with Microsoft software.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and staffing safety resources for the Operating Group.
• Coordinate safety programs across projects and offices; ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain safety logs and incident records; report and investigate incidents.
• Interface with clients, regulators and subcontractors to implement safety requirements.
• Lead pre-construction safety planning and site safety oversight.
