Job summary

Austin Commercial, part of Austin Industries, Inc., is seeking a Senior Safety Manager for the Southeast Division. The role focuses on leading safety programs across projects, building relationships with staff and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Ideal candidates bring an associates degree in safety or related field, CSP/ASP preferred, OSHA 500 Trainer certification, and strong communication skills for crucial conversations.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a safety-related field preferred and/or 8-10 years safety experience in the construction industry.
• CSP or ASP certification through BCSP is preferred but not required.
• Authorized OSHA 500 Trainer.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• SWPP knowledge.
• Safety certification from an accredited organization, such as BCSP or an equal alternative.
• Advanced knowledge of construction processes and procedures.
• Proficient in relevant software.
• Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities; has the ability to have effective crucial conversations.
• Manages time and resource allocation appropriately to provide overall safety leadership to assigned projects.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States. Austin Commercial is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.

• Creates and facilitates safety training on a variety of subjects that align with particular project schedules.
• Builds and maintains relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, architects, etc.).
• Participates in safety organizations outside of the company and in assigned region.
