Gilbane Building Company seeks a Senior Safety Manager to lead the safety function for a mega project across multiple Illinois locations. You will drive the SafetyNet program, develop project-specific safety plans, and coach teams to identify hazards and implement corrective actions, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of construction safety experience, a related bachelor’s degree, and certification/instructor credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety Management or Engineering preferred.
• 5–7 years of construction safety management experience.
• Experience with crane, structural steel and/or excavation ideal.

Responsabilités

• Oversees the implementation of the Gilbane Cares safety culture across the business.
• Develops and distributes project-specific safety plans.
• Performs SafetyNet inspections and monitors project team safety practices.
• Coaches and mentors project teams in hazard identification and corrective action.
