Job summary

The Lane Construction Corporation is seeking a senior safety leader to administer and enforce the company safety program on major civil infrastructure projects in Virginia. You will drive accident prevention, conduct site assessments, and develop safety initiatives in line with federal and client requirements.

You will mentor safety staff, deliver training, lead orientations and toolbox talks, and ensure regulatory inspections are handled effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 6 years of safety leadership experience.
• At least 3 years in heavy civil infrastructure.
• Professional certifications such as CHST, ASP, CSP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers and enforces LaneA's safety program, leading accident prevention efforts to achieve company and project safety goals.
• Conducts work area assessments and jobsite audits, focusing on hazard recognition, unsafe behaviors, and corrective actions.
• Develops, organizes, and implements safety initiatives and programs that align with LaneA's standards and regulatory requirements.
• Mentors, coaches, and evaluates safety employees, providing feedback and performance assessments.
• Develops and delivers training programs.
• Leads safety orientations, toolbox talks, and project-specific meetings to ensure effective communication across crews and subcontractors.
• Participates in regulatory inspections and investigations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and client requirements.
• Supports incident investigations and corrective action tracking to prevent recurrence.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
