Job summary

ThermoSafe seeks a senior safety leader to establish and advance the company’s safety strategy across a dispersed manufacturing network. You will translate strategy into practical site-level actions, coach leaders, and drive measurable improvements, with significant travel to ThermoSafe locations.

You will partner with manufacturing and operations to embed safety into daily decision-making, lead serious injury prevention efforts, and support EE reporting for environmental permits as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of progressive safety leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading safety strategy and improvement initiatives across multiple manufacturing locations.
• Proven ability to set organizational safety direction and translate strategy into practical site-level execution.
• Experience coaching plant leaders and influencing senior operations leaders without relying solely on direct authority.
• Demonstrated success improving safety culture, leadership accountability, and organizational safety performance.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements and applicable safety regulations.
• Advanced experience with machine safety, Lockout/Tagout, energy control, risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action management.
• Experience developing and implementing scalable safety management systems, standards, and performance measures.
• Strong change-management, communication, coaching, and organizational-influence skills.
• Ability to travel 50–70% to support ThermoSafe manufacturing locations.

Responsibilities

• Establish and advance ThermoSafe’s enterprise safety strategy, standards, and operating model.
• Serve as the primary safety SME to manufacturing and senior leadership.
• Translate safety priorities into clear expectations for plant leadership teams.
• Coach plant managers on safety accountability and leadership behaviors.
• Lead safety initiatives across facilities to drive consistency in practices and performance.
• Develop a roadmap to strengthen safety systems and organizational maturity.
• Lead injury and fatality prevention through proactive hazard identification and risk mitigation.
• Provide expertise in machine safety, LOTO, energy control, and incident prevention.
• Partner with engineering and operations to reduce hazards via improvements.
• Develop, implement, and improve safety policies, procedures, and training.
• Conduct facility assessments and safety reviews to identify risks and opportunities.
• Lead investigations for incidents and near misses; ensure timely CAPAs.
• Develop leading and lagging indicators and dashboards for accountability.
• Communicate safety trends and priorities to senior leadership.
• Foster employee engagement and ownership of safety across sites.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety requirements.
