Job summary

Sharp Manufacturing Company of America in Memphis, TN seeks a Senior Safety and Environmental Administrator to develop and coordinate safety and environmental programs in our assembly operations, ensuring OSHA compliance and alignment with company policy.

The role leads ISO 14001 initiatives, oversees recordkeeping, training, and regulatory compliance, and partners with management to maintain safe, healthy, and compliant facilities. Requires a BS degree and 4+ years in manufacturing safety.

Qualifications

• B.S degree in a related industrial field.
• Experience in environmental management in an industrial setting.
• Familiarity with OSHA, state and federal regulations and standards.
• Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word.

Responsibilities

• Establish and promote safe and healthy working conditions and reduce hazards in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Advise management on steps to prevent safety and health hazards from manufacturing operations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for the facility including fire prevention, chemical storage, and material handling.
• Enforce safety and environmental regulations and policies; implement corrective actions for non-conformance.
• Oversee ISO 14001 program to support policies, programs, and certification.
• Ensure appropriate safety training for all employees.
• Conduct safety and environmental assessments to establish ergonomically correct workstations.
• Lead company safety initiatives at all levels.
• Maintain regulatory and required record keeping.
