Job summary

Seagate Technology is seeking an experienced Safety Engineer to support wafer fabrication operations at our Bloomington, MN campus, with up to 10% time at Shakopee. You will lead safety reviews, drive risk reduction, and own safety programs across complex manufacturing environments.

The role emphasizes field presence, hands-on hazard control, incident investigation, and collaboration with Engineering and Operations to improve safety performance.

Qualifications

• Strong hazard recognition and risk assessment capabilities.
• Experience in risk assessments, JHAs, incident investigations, and corrective action management.
• Familiar with OSHA General Industry and Construction requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety reviews for equipment throughout lifecycle and verify controls before use.
• Oversee hazard identification and risk assessment and drive actions through completion.
• Own and continuously improve safety programs with regulatory alignment and field execution.
• Conduct incident investigations and corrective action effectiveness reviews.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations on process changes and risk reduction.
• Perform field audits, inspections, and safety observations to identify improvements.
• Support emergency response planning, drills, and readiness activities.
• Analyze safety performance data and drive improvements in leading and lagging indicators.
• Deliver training and coaching to strengthen site safety culture.
