Altria Group, Inc. in Hopkinsville, KY is seeking a Senior Safety Engineer to lead safety management and compliance initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This onsite role includes relocation benefits and periodic site visits to Kentucky locations.

The candidate will drive risk reduction using regulatory and industry best practices, manage cross-functional teams, and utilize data analytics (Power BI) for performance metrics and reporting. CSP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field.
• 5+ years of safety management and compliance experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of environmental requirements in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience working in interdisciplinary teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong decision-making, planning, and project management abilities.
• Experience using data analytics/Power BI for metrics and reporting.
• Ability to establish relationships with regulatory agencies; willingness to travel ~10%.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enhance Safety Management Systems and processes to reduce risk and drive best practices.
• Lead/participate in projects; prepare scopes, budgets, and vendor directions.
• Conduct formal risk assessments and integrate results into plans and budgets.
• Lead or support investigations, inspections, and litigation support.
• Serve as facility safety engineer for Kentucky locations; periodic site visits.
