Cityscape Recruitment USA is seeking an experienced Safety Director for heavy civil construction projects in New York. You will establish and maintain safety standards across multiple sites, working with executives, project teams, and field personnel to embed safety throughout the business.

The role requires strong OSHA knowledge, leadership across large infrastructure work, and a proven ability to drive audits, investigations, and continuous improvement in safety practices.

Qualifications

• Extensive safety leadership experience within heavy civil construction.
• Strong background working on large-scale infrastructure projects such as highways, bridges, utilities, underground construction, transportation, or major public works.
• Previous experience managing safety across multiple projects and field teams.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and heavy civil construction safety practices.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and influence project teams at all levels.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
• Relevant safety qualifications and certifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the company-wide safety program across multiple heavy civil construction projects.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Provide leadership and direction to project-based Safety Managers and Safety Professionals.
• Conduct project audits, inspections, and safety performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable regulatory and client safety requirements.
• Oversee incident investigations, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and reporting.
