Job summary

PacifiCorp is seeking a safety-focused professional to administer programs related to industrial hygiene, safety, and regulatory compliance in Salt Lake City. You will lead safety committees, educate staff, and assess risks across facilities to prevent injuries and ensure adherence to OSHA standards.

This full-time role requires at least five years in industrial health or safety, a relevant degree, and strong investigation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety, or related field or equivalent experience
• At least five years in Industrial Health, Safety, or related field
• Knowledge of state and federal electrical codes and OSHA standards
• Strong analysis, investigation and action-planning skills
• Ability to collaborate across all organizational levels and travel as needed

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate local safety committees and emergency response teams
• Consult and educate employees on safety laws and policies
• Develop safety and health risk assessments and analyses
• Analyze hazards and risks according to regulations
• Implement processes to minimize risk
• Provide expert safety/regulatory advice
• Inspect facilities, machinery and safety equipment for hazards and compliance
• Investigate accidents to determine causes and preventive measures
• Review incidents with depth commensurate to seriousness
• Review safety programs for adequacy
