Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries in Eugene, OR is seeking a Safety Coordinator to partner with plant leadership to drive safety excellence and reduce hazards across operations.

You will lead safety programs, investigate incidents, ensure regulatory compliance, and train managers and crews in lockout/tagout and other safety practices. Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and Hazardous Materials regulations.
• Ability to lead, analyze problems, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
• Proven safety leadership and people-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication across crews and management.
• Flexibility to respond to emergencies 24/7 and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Work with Plant Manager and safety leaders to achieve safety goals.
• Drive safety excellence, promote crew involvement and accountability.
• Lead programs to educate, engage, and motivate workers at all levels.
• Investigate injuries/incidents and minimize costs and fraud.
• Maintain regulatory relationships and represent the company during inspections.
• Train managers and crews on safety programs and document training.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations and company policy.
