Alliant Energy is seeking a Senior Safety Consultant to lead hazard identifications, risk assessments and safety program development across corporate and energy operations. You will conduct inspections, investigations, and training to ensure compliance with safety regulations while supporting a culture of safe practices and continuous improvement.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in safety, industrial hygiene, physical or natural sciences, or related area
• Preferred CSP, CUSA, and/or CIH designation
• Experience in safety, industrial hygiene, emergency management, safety management, or compliance planning
• Experience with incident investigations and learning-team model

Responsabilidades

• Conduct hazard identification for corporate and energy operations and evaluate conditions, methods, or processes that could cause damage or injury
• Perform inspections, document reviews, interviews, and literature searches using hazard analysis methods
• Organize hazard evaluations and compare hazard levels to standards; test equipment/processes when needed
• Investigate complaints, exposures, accidents, injuries and illnesses; review related standards
• Review safety practices to identify safer methods and apply direct controls to prevent injuries
• Engage with local safety leadership teams to implement safety measures and reduce injuries
• Develop safety communications across audio/visual, printed, and other media
• Prepare safety-related information for diverse audiences to aid understanding and compliance
• Track safety performance, provide updates and forecast budgets, including OSHA recordkeeping
• Conduct Industrial Hygiene monitoring for environmental hazards including air quality, chemical management, heat illness, hearing conservation, respiratory protection, and asbestos/lead
