Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction in a Health and Safety role.
• At least 3 years of electrical safety experience in construction.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations for construction projects.
• NFPA 70E certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity and belonging.
• Conduct employee health and safety orientations for workers, owners, and clients.
• Train employees in fall protection, traffic management, GHS/SDS, and electrical safety topics.
• Coordinate safety training such as First Aid and Elevated Work Platform.
• Conduct workplace inspections and audits; perform risk verifications.
• Develop safety plans for emergencies, evacuations, and fall protection.
• Distribute safety materials to team members and promote Aecon safety systems.
• Present safety topics to clients and engage with industry partners.
• Participate in Joint Health and Safety Committees.
• Review incident trends and coordinate corrective actions.
• Inspect facilities and coordinate environmental considerations.
