Job summary

Amazon S3 is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to own the architecture of deployment, validation, and observability for front-end changes across AWS regions. You will help drive modernization, improve release frequency, and enable AI-assisted development across a massive distributed system.

You will mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and collaborate with senior leaders to ensure security, reliability, and availability of S3 services at scale.

Qualifications

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

Own the architecture of deployment, validation, and observability systems for S3 front-end changes.
Set technical strategy for modernization, increasing release frequency and deployment speed.
Define and drive the self-service builder experience for S3 engineers to validate, deploy, and observe changes.
Lead adoption of AI as a core part of building and operating software.
