Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related STEM field.
• 10+ years in professional engineering/scientific roles including systems engineering or program management.
• Knowledge of the NASA program life cycle.
• Strong oral and written communication of technical concepts.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, small core team and influence across teams.
• Proven ability to establish relationships with customers.
• Excellent leadership and multi-tasking across engineering topics.
• Knowledge of space flight safety and mission assurance processes.
• Willingness to travel ~10% domestically/internationally.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety policy and requirements for hardware, payloads, operations, and software integration.
• Provide recommendations on hazard analyses and risk assessments to minimize operational risk.
• Monitor flight readiness and participate in NASA Artemis forums.
• Coordinate requirements, interfaces, and objectives with subject matter experts.
• Prepare periodic status reports and decision briefs for senior management.
• Collaborate across NASA centers and industry partners on S&MA activities.
