Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Human Spaceflight Engineer (Member of Technical Staff - Systems Engineering) to support NASA programs. This on-site role involves coordinating across Artemis transportation initiatives, building technical requirements, and producing assessments and reports for program offices.

We welcome candidates with a BS in a STEM field and 1+ years in systems engineering, mission operations, or related areas. U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, science, or another related STEM discipline.
  • 1+ years of professional engineering/scientific experience, including systems engineering and program lifecycle environment.
  • Entry level experience in human exploration architecture, integration and mission operations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the engineering program life cycle.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation and communications skills, including the ability to express technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to work across diverse teams and multiple engineering disciplines, including human-in-the-loop disciplines.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve in the program office and coordinate across Artemis transportation initiatives.
  • Define operational-technical requirements for programs.
  • Perform assessments and readiness evaluations.
  • Collaborate with NASA mission architects and program experts.
  • Review contractor deliverables for compliance and system effectiveness.
  • Develop reports and progress updates for internal and external partners.
  • Support facility and infrastructure topics and planning.
  • Prepare clear, actionable reports for program offices.
