Job summary

L3Harris Integrated Systems & Encryption division seeks a Sr. Member Engineering Staff to advance high‑assurance encryption software on a dynamic Scrum team. You’ll translate requirements into robust, maintainable solutions for production systems and work closely with hardware engineers.

The role emphasizes collaboration, system-level thinking, and hands‑on coding in C/C++, Rust, and Python, with opportunities to influence product and infrastructure direction and to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience.
• 1+ years of experience developing Rust software for production systems.
• At least 2 years of experience with software design and development using C/C++ and OO design.

Responsibilities

• Investigate root cause of complex issues and implement solutions, working independently or with a multi‑discipline team.
• Apply CS, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts in software development for target hardware.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineers to define interfaces between hardware and software and system requirements.
• Support all phases of software life cycle, including requirements, design, implementation, integration, and testing.
• Develop software test plans and technical documentation.
