Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group is seeking a Senior Rust Software Developer to drive embedded Rust initiatives at our Camden, NJ site. The role includes leading adoption of Rust across multiple product lines and collaborating with engineering teams to meet performance and security requirements.

A $10k sign-on bonus is offered for qualified candidates. US citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship with an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, CS or related field with 6+ years of relevant experience; graduate degree with 4+ years or 10+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• 3+ years of Rust software development for production systems; deep Rust knowledge.

Senior Rust Software Developer ($10k Sign-on Bonus)

Onsite Location: Camden , NJ

Must Have experience with RUST

Essential Functions:

• Support the engineering team members in embedded software application development specifically with RUST


• Lead the adoption and deployment of RUST and associated techniques, idioms, design patterns, and tooling throughout multiple product lines


• Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts and principles in the development of software for the target hardware


• Work closely with cross functional members of the engineering organization to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements and design of the overall system


• Support and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, hardware-software integration, and formal test


• Investigate root causes of complex issues, and implement solutions, working independently or with a multi-discipline team


• Develop software test plans and procedures, and other relevant technical documentation


• Utilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, prototype, and evaluate results


• Participate in peer reviews, identify, track and repair defects


• Utilize a variety of software languages (primarily RUST, C/C++, and Python)

Qualifications:

• U.S. citizenship with an Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance


• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.


• 3+ years of experience developing RUST software for production systems with a deep understanding of the language


• Experience with C\\C++ development


• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience converting C\\C++ code to RUST


• Experience developing RUST software for embedded systems


• Experience with development of embedded systems


• Object-oriented design and implementation experience, with exposure to software modeling and UML tools such as IBM Rhapsody or Magic Draw/Cameo


• Experience developing device drivers and Board Support Packages for real-time embedded systems


• Experience with Information Assurance and/or cryptography


• Experience with NSA Type 1 certification or other SW certification such as DO-178
