Job summary

Anduril Industries, Reston, VA, is seeking experienced Rust developers to build the software ecosystem for next‑generation hardware platforms. You will architect and optimize real-time systems to support intelligence and national security missions, with a focus on performance and reliability.

The role emphasizes handling large data streams, networking concepts, and evolving production systems, while contributing to a team with high‑impact, mission‑critical software and security clearances.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production-grade Rust experience in a Linux development environment.
• Experience building software solutions involving significant amounts of data processing and analysis.
• Experience with network protocols and deeply familiar with networking fundamentals.
• Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases.
• Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance, at a minimum.

Responsibilities

• Architect, maintain, and evolve complex software systems, refactoring existing codebases to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Develop high-performance Rust software for real-time systems, ranging from tactical implementations to simulation environments and decision support tools.
• Apply software design patterns and architectural best practices to manage technical debt and guide production systems evolution over time.
