Job summary

RRC – Ruiz Recruiting & Consulting is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Rust) to own core backend design and delivery. You will ship business-critical capabilities on tight timelines, mentor engineers, and help scale the team alongside the CTO through code reviews and process improvements.

You will design scalable Node.js/TypeScript services, drive modernization of code reviews, and ensure security and reliability across production systems.

Qualifications

• Production-Proven backend depth with 6+ years of professional experience, including Node.js and TypeScript in real-world environments.
• Rust experience strongly preferred.
• 4+ years architecting and scaling production systems with high availability.
• Experience shepherding complex projects from scoping to production delivery.
• Hands-on observability, incident response, and on-call readiness.
• Security-focused with SDLC practices aligned to SOC 2 Type II.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate scalable Node.js/TypeScript backend services for the workflow platform.
• Mentor engineers, review code, and establish modern CI/CD and testing standards.
• Own technical execution of major initiatives and drive sprint planning.
• Build robust, multi-tenant, rate-limited, fault-tolerant infrastructure.
• Maintain enterprise security posture and SOC 2 Type II compliance.
• Ensure production observability and reliability; participate in incident response.
• Collaborate across Product, DevOps, and customers to translate feedback into software.
