Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Lead Software Architect for the C2 Systems team in Broomfield, CO. You will define architectural direction for real-time C2 software spanning edge to backend, mentoring engineers and balancing performance with maintainability.

You will work with researchers to transition advanced algorithms into deployed code, oversee CI/CD practices, and interact with DoD customers to ensure mission-critical outcomes. A strong math background is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering with relevant degree.
• Expert-level C++ and/or Rust, with async/multithreaded programming.
• Experience architecting large-scale real-time production codebases.
• Strong background in applied mathematics: probability, linear algebra, optimization.
• Experience with CI/CD, unit testing, and Git.

Responsibilities

• Define architectural direction for large-scale C2 software.
• Lead design and implementation of real-time, numerics-heavy algorithms in Rust/C++.
• Collaborate with research scientists to transition prototypes to deployed code.
• Make high-leverage architectural trade-offs for performance and maintainability.
• Mentor senior engineers and define coding standards and CI/CD practices.
• Engage with DoD customers to ensure mission-critical outcomes.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across software, math, sensors, and networking.
• Contribute to all phases of SDLC including prototyping and testing.
• Shape hiring and growth of the C2 organization as it scales.
