Welocalize is seeking a senior localization specialist to manage translation and copy-editing across accounts. You will coordinate with freelancers and agencies, maintain glossaries and style guides, and ensure high-quality deliverables on schedule.

You will lead linguist activities, train internal linguists, test new vendors, and collaborate with clients on terminology. Strong CAT tool experience and English proficiency are required.

Formación

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Native fluency in TARGET language.
• 8+ years of translation/localization/editing or content writing experience.
• 5+ years of review experience.
• Thorough understanding of the localization process.
• Excellent knowledge of terminology across subjects.
• Subject-matter expert for content specialties, service lines and processes.
• Excellent CAT tool experience (XTM, SDL Studio).
• JIRA experience for issue tracking and queries.
• Ability to learn new localization tools quickly.
• Proficient with Windows and Office.
• Clear, constructive feedback ability.
• Coordinate internal and external translators.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to train others and pass on knowledge.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to present information to managers and clients.
• Willingness to communicate with customers at various levels.
• Ability to handle practical problems with variable conditions.
• Ability to work in a virtual team.

Responsabilidades

• Performing copy-edit tasks on assigned projects or accounts.
• Performing on-demand translation tasks.
• Leading linguist role on assigned accounts.
• Owning deliveries translated internally or by external partners for one or more accounts.
• Managing and maintaining language materials (glossaries, style guides, work instructions).
• Managing project-related queries.
• Ensuring good interaction among team members and resolving terminology questions.
• Coordinating with freelancers, agencies and internal linguists.
• Testing and qualifying new freelancers and vendors.
• Developing and training internal linguists and freelancers.
• Interacting with clients on linguistic matters as required.
• Participating in development of new/ improved working processes and proposing improvements.
• Meeting or exceeding KPIs for productivity, on-time delivery, and quality.
• Achieving goals set by the team manager.
