Job summary

Welocalize is seeking a senior linguist to oversee translation and copy-editing for key accounts. The role involves coordinating with freelancers and internal teams, maintaining glossaries and style guides, and ensuring high-quality linguistic deliverables across projects.

You will resolve terminology queries and contribute to workflow improvements. Ideal candidates have 8+ years in translation/localization, native fluency in the target language, and strong CAT tools experience.

Qualifications

• University degree in Translation/Applied Languages/Linguistic Studies or equivalent.
• 8+ years of translation/localization/editing or content writing.
• 5+ years of review experience.
• Fluent in English, with native fluency in the target language.
• Strong terminology management and CAT tools expertise.
• Ability to train others and coordinate translators.

Responsibilities

• Perform copy-edit tasks on assigned projects or accounts.
• Perform on-demand translation tasks.
• Lead linguist on assigned accounts.
• Own translations delivered for one or more accounts in the target language.
• Prepare and maintain language materials (glossaries, style guides, work instructions).
• Manage project-related queries and coordinate with freelancers and agencies.
