Recruiter4you is seeking an experienced Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer for a fully remote role covering Europe (CET ±3 hours). You will design, build and scale backend services in Ruby on Rails, collaborating with an international team and reporting to senior engineering leadership.

The role demands 5+ years of experience, strong Rails production knowledge, and comfort with uncensored AI companionship products. Salary €75,000–€105,000/year, with a B2B-friendly contract and a rich benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend or full-stack software engineering experience.
• Strong Ruby on Rails experience, ideally in production.
• Experience building and scaling production apps with real users.
• Ability to own features from requirements through development, testing and deployment.
• Previous experience in a startup, scale-up or fast-paced environment.
• Excellent English and experience working with international teams.
• Comfort working with uncensored AI companionship products and explicit NSFW content.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Ruby on Rails.
• Build new features and improve existing platform functionality.
• Work with Product Managers to translate requirements into technical solutions and estimate development efforts.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested production code.
• Participate in code reviews, testing and technical decision-making.
• Troubleshoot issues and improve application performance, reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate with distributed engineering, product and infrastructure teams.
