Job description

RPG Software Engineer - Remote Contract (6 Months)

1. Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development roles using RPG.
2. Experience working on large-scale, client-facing, enterprise production software.
3. Familiarity with all versions of RPG, SQL, and CL.
4. Knowledge of Change Management tools such as Aldon.
5. Extensive experience with end-to-end systems development life cycles and industry standards.
6. Recent experience leading or working on products from architectural design to production, maintaining high standards of technical excellence and processes.
7. Experience working in an Agile environment with bi-monthly production code delivery.
8. Working knowledge of SDLC, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
9. Strong English communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and business team members.
10. Resourceful and proactive in gathering information, solving problems, and sharing ideas.
11. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders.

Added bonus if you have:

1. Experience using Java or JavaScript.
2. Experience in Angular.
3. Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry, especially Core Banking.
4. Experience with V7.4, Eclipse, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, MDCMS, Git, Microsoft Office applications, RDi, X Analysis, and CheckMarx.
5. Knowledge of OS/400 and Windows 11 operating systems.
