About the role

Leviton is looking for an IBM i-Series RPG/RPGLE programmer analyst who is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing applications on our warehouse management system and provide resolution of day-to-day functional and technical issues.

Please note:This position is only open to candidates who reside in one of the following states:California (CA), Florida (FL), Georgia (GA), Illinois (IL), Louisiana (LA), Michigan (MI), New Jersey (NJ), New York (NY), Nevada (NV), North Carolina (NC), Oregon (OR), Tennessee (TN), Texas (TX), or Washington (WA).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and resolve issues in existing RPG/RPGLE applications to ensure optimal performance
• Design, code, test, and implement new features or applications based on user requirements
• Collaborate with other systems and applications to ensure seamless data flow and functionality
• Provide technical support to end-users, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
• Conduct testing and debugging to maintain high-quality code standards
• 24x7 on-call availability with immediate response to incidents
• Any and all responsibilities deemed necessary by management

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Database, DDS, sub-files, RPG III and later, CL, SQLRPGLE Free Format coding, and FTP functionality
• Knowledge of DB2/400 and SQL for database operations
• Experience in iSeries Navigator and Integrated File System (IFS)
• Ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders
• 5+ years of experience in iSeries/AS400/RPG analysis, design, and programming

Education & Experience

• BS Information Technology or equivalent work experience
• Background in WMS applications
• Experience with Rocket/Aldon Change Control
• Experience with ZPL programming and Zebra printers
• Experience with Varsity applications

Travel

10% overall; may be significantly higher during duration of a project
