Job Summary:
West Marine is seeking an iSeries RPG Analyst with strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, document, and disseminate significant amounts of information from various sources with attention to detail and accuracy.
Primary Responsibilities:
Minimum education required/preferred, area of study:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred
Minimum # of years/experience required:
2-3 years’ experience in JDA MMS and JDA WMS
10+ years’ experience using RPGLE, CLLE, DDS
2+ years’ experience with SQL, including utilizing embedded SQL in RPGLE programs, working knowledge of relational databases
2+ years’ experience stabilizing IBM i APIs
Additional skills/knowledge/certifications required and/or preferred:
Expertise in AS400/iSeries including but not limited to CL, RPG/RPGLE, Procedures, Modules, Service programs, Binding directories, SQL, DDL, Data Queues, Message Queues, Web services, XML and Database concepts
Knowledge of IFS and interacting with IFS using CL programs
Ability to thrive in a fast-changing, dynamic environment
Object oriented structured design and analysis skills required
Good verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated
Quick learner
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
