Job summary

MGA Entertainment in Los Angeles seeks a Senior Royalty Accounting Manager to supervise the Royalty Accounting team, overseeing licensee billing, collections, and revenue recording to ensure accuracy and timeliness. You will prepare Licensor quarterly royalty statements, coordinate with sales, and support forecast, budget analyses, and ad hoc reports.

In addition, you will support month-end close with journal entries, account reconciliations, maintain internal controls, and ensure contract terms

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 6–10 years experience in Royalty or Participations accounting, including 3–5 years in a managerial role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Royalty Analysts and ensure appropriate accounting activities are performed.
• Prepare Licensor quarterly royalty statements and ensure accuracy of reports and payments.
• Assist management with Royalty forecast, budget analysis, and ad hoc reports.
• Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and procedures in the Royalty Accounting department.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining internal controls to protect company assets.
• Prepare and submit Licensor royalty reporting and payment obligations per contract terms.
• Maintain organized accounting records for licensee contracts, statements, and payments.
