Job summary

Worley Group is seeking a Principal Rotating Equipment Engineer in California (Long Beach/Monrovia) to lead rotating equipment projects. You will direct discipline activities, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and drive technical excellence across schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables.

The role requires deep experience with gas/steam turbines and compressors, strong leadership, and a solid command of API standards.

Qualifications

Minimum of 12 years of rotating equipment engineering experience in Petroleum-Chemical/Oil & Gas industries.
At least 3 years in a mechanical leadership role.
Experience with reciprocating compressors and turbomachinery is valued.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Professional registration is preferred.

Responsibilities

Update schedules and progress reports for projects.
Generate budgets for new work and interface with Project Management and customers.
Ensure adherence to engineering practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specs.
Support standardization of equipment specifications, drawings and templates.
Develop hour estimation, TIC estimates, and personnel loading for rotating scope.
