Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources, LLC is seeking a Renewable Substation Operator (RSO) to monitor and control the company\'s transmission assets within the ROCC in Florida. The role focuses on safe, compliant operation of high-voltage equipment and coordination with field personnel.

The successful candidate will respond to abnormal conditions, execute switching orders, coordinate outages, and ensure adherence to NERC and reliability standards while supporting restoration efforts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 4+ years of relevant ROCC/utility operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch resources to maintain transmission reliability.
• Monitor alarms and equipment status to take action.
• Write switching orders and clearance documentation.
• Evaluate transmission/substation clearance requests.
• Coordinate outages with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate logs and ensure compliance with NERC standards.
• Assist in training and mentoring new operators.
