Job summary

eTeam is seeking a skilled Robotics Engineer for a 3+ month contract stationed at Toledo, OH and Normal, IL, with on-site work at both locations.

You will lead programming, integration, commissioning, and optimization of MIG welding using FANUC and NACHI platforms to ensure BIW assemblies meet precision and cycle-time goals.

Candidates must have 5+ years in robotics, strong MIG welding experience, and ability to work in a high-demand automotive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in robotics, mechatronics, automation, welding, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on programming/integration of FANUC and NACHI robots.
• At least 2 years MIG welding in automotive BIW/bodyshop.
• Professional English proficiency for interface with suppliers and engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Program and optimize MIG welding trajectories on NACHI robots.
• Tune welding parameter schedules on robots to reduce defects.
• Maintain TCP calibration and version control for controllers.
• Collaborate with PLC, mechanical, weld quality and maintenance teams.
