Job summary

Meta in Redmond, WA seeks a detail-oriented Verification & Validation engineer for its humanoid robotics team to own the end-to-end V&V of the robot platform from components to deployed systems.

You will design, build and maintain sophisticated test environments, establish traceability across requirements and safety, and lead root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams to ensure safety, reliability, and performance of our humanoid robots.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on V&V experience in safety-critical systems (robotics, aerospace, medical devices)
• Experience building sophisticated test environments and full system integration testbeds
• Proven ability to develop and execute V&V plans for hardware-software systems
• Knowledge of functional safety standards (IEC 61508, ISO 13849/26262)
• Experience validating AI/ML, especially perception and decision-making
• Experience with C++ in testing/development and Python for automation
• SIL3/ASIL-D certification experience is a plus
• Ability to integrate AI tools to optimize workflows and drive impact

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the verification and validation lifecycle for the humanoid robot platform from concept to deployment
• Develop and document V&V plans, test strategies, cases and procedures for hardware, software, firmware, and AI
• Design, build, and maintain automated test environments and system integration testbeds
• Establish traceability between requirements, safety requirements, and test cases using Jama/Polarion/DOORS
• Lead root cause analysis and coordinate corrective actions with engineering teams
• Demonstrate compliance with safety standards (IEC 61508, ISO 13482, ISO 10218)
• Collaborate with functional safety, design, software and systems integration teams to align V&V with safety goals
