Job summary

Charge Robotics in the SF Bay Area is seeking a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to join our fast-moving team. You will work full-stack on deploying gigawatts of clean power by building software for our robotic factory installation system.

You’ll develop perception, motion planning, and controls software that lets our robots operate reliably in unstructured field conditions, while contributing to low-level software powering robotics systems and industrial automation hardware.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in computer science, robotics, or a related field.
• Experience writing real-time, embedded, or robotics software.
• Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, document, test, and iterate on software for the robotic factory installation system.
• Develop perception, motion planning, and controls software for reliable operation in unstructured environments.
• Contribute to low-level software powering robotic systems with emphasis on correctness and safety.
• Control industrial automation hardware including actuators, motors, and hydraulics.
